D'Orsay Elizabeth Miller

D’Orsay Elizabeth Miller age 90 years young of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 6:20 pm at Tabitha Journey House Hospice Center while her loving son, Randal, was at her side. She was born on July 19, 1930, in Wausau, Nebraska to Henry and Mabel Herold.

D’Orsay met Dale Miller on a blind date in Wayne, Nebraska in March of 1949 and they dated together. On March 8th of 1950, Dale gave her a diamond ring and they were married on January 21, 1951 in Coleridge, Nebraska. The couple farmed near Winside, Nebraska for 12 years and moved to Norfolk were D’Orsay worked in clothing sales at JCPenney and later moved to Wayne. In 1972 the couple purchased Troutman’s Super Market in Winside and renamed it to Miller’s Market. After twelve years they sold their market and moved to Lincoln Nebraska, where D’Orsay operated a busy childcare center in her home for several years.

D’Orsay was a dedicated wife, mother. grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed. D’Orsay was a strong seeker of truths in the Bible and with a deep walk with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her and Dale attended church meetings with The Church in Lincoln for several years. The meetings were held in their home soon after they moved to Lincoln and then occasionally until a few months before D’Orsay passed on and went home to be with her Father God. She was greeted in heaven by a host of rejoicing angels (we are sure of that)!

D’Orsay is survived by her sons, Randal of Lincoln and Galon (Deborah) of Bloomington, MN as well as her sisters, Margie of Randolph and Donna of Lincoln. D’Orsay’s list of 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren is as follows: to Randal are Suzannah of San Clemente CA, Julia of Eugene OR, Micah (Brittany) of Kaukauna, WI (Dominick, Ryain) and Joannah (Kyle) of Lincoln NE (Faithren, Franklin, Treyson). To Galon are Amy (Jon) of Bloomington MN (Allissa, Lily, Owen), David of East Strousburg, PA, Daniel (Lauren) of Colorado Springs, CO (Ethan, Madilyn), Allison (Julian) of Roseville, MN.
