Born in Lincoln, August 29, 1946 to Helen Meek Parker and Warren H. Parker.
He graduated in 1964 from Lincoln Northeast High School and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Served in the United States Army 1965-1967.
Retired after a 34 year career with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
Doug is survived by wife, Barbara of Lincoln, son, Todd (Jennifer) and granddaughter Ivy of Dewitt, NE, brother and sister-in-law Don and Kathy Parker of Kimberling City, MO, step children, Amy Cheeks and Bo (Becky) Cheeks of Lincoln.
Preceded in death by parents, grandson Josef.
