Elaine D. (Lacey) Berger, 71 of Superior, NE, passed away at her home on Friday, July 6, 2018. She was born in Mason City, NE on September 25, 1946 to Orville & Mamie (Costa) Dasher. She worked as a cook in Lincoln at Halfway Houses. She was very passionate about, and supportive of the Nebraska City School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where she also was a cook. She is survived by her significant other of 33 years Robert Schneider also of Superior. Son Robert (Patricia) Berger of Great Falls, MT, daughter Laura (Robert) Cutler of Cofield, NC, Tania (James) McCoy of Great Falls, MT. Siblings Vivian (Marvin) Bando of Nebraska City, NE, Kenneth (Ann) Dasher of David City, NE, Janice Finley of MO, Shirley (Larry) Amos of Eugene, OR, and Diane Kinney of Lincoln, NE. 13 grandchildren: Crystal Berger, Cherie Berger, Cassandra Berger, Robert Berger, Beth Simpson, Velda Bigknife, Melissa Hand, Laurie Bunting, Constance Cyphers, Sky McCoy, Kyle McCoy, Shawn McCoy, Silkie McCoy,& Marie Bigsby. 28 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Frances Cawthorne, Lorraine Howard, Patricia Watts, Orville Dasher Jr., & Richard (Dick) Dasher, brother-in-law David Krauter. Services 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 So. 14th St. with Visitation one hour prior. Interment Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials in care of the family.
