Elaine Fern (Kirchhoff) Nelson, 85, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on September 15, 2026. She was born on a farm near Byron, Nebraska, on November 11, 1940, to Edwin and Ruth (Heitman) Kirchhoff.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary S. Nelson; and her son-in-law, Gary Liesemeyer. She is survived by her daughters, June Baker and Julie Liesemeyer; her grandsons, Joseph (Aly) Baker, Philip Baker, Jared (Catherine Chapman)
Liesemeyer, and Ryan Liesemeyer; and her four great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Elaine’s final resting place will be Lincoln Memorial Park and Cemetery, 6700 S 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
