Eldon "Bud" Ardean Wall, age 87, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on June 23, 2026. Bud was born on March 10, 1939, in Hamilton County, Nebraska, to Harold and Elva Wall, who preceded him in death. He dedicated his life to service, leadership, faith, family, and community. Bud proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from May 1956 to May 1960. Following his military service, he pursued higher education, attending the University of Nebraska, Hastings College, and the University of Minnesota, where he earned a bachelor's degree in administration. Following his education, Bud began his professional career in teaching, sharing his knowledge of mathematics and German with students at Henderson High School. He later served as manager of the Aurora Country Club before transitioning into healthcare administration, where he found his lifelong calling. Throughout each chapter of his career, Bud was respected for his leadership, work ethic, and commitment to serving others. On August 30, 1963, Bud married the love of his life, Luana (Bowlby) Wall. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service, sharing more than six decades of marriage.
Bud spent most of his life in Aurora, Nebraska, where he became a respected leader in both healthcare and community service. He served as Hospital Administrator at Memorial Community Health until his retirement in 2003. Throughout his career, he was recognized for his dedication to rural healthcare and his commitment to ensuring Nebraskans had access to quality medical services close to home. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Nebraska Hospital Association from 1997 to 1998 and remained active in healthcare leadership after retirement, serving as an interim hospital administrator for several rural Nebraska communities, including Ainsworth and Syracuse. His commitment to community service extended far beyond his professional life. Bud served as President of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce in 1977 and as President of the Aurora Rotary Club from 1991 to 1992. He was known for his integrity, leadership, and willingness to serve wherever he was needed. A faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora for nearly 45 years, Bud found great joy in his church family. He sang in the church choir and generously shared his time and talents through numerous church projects and ministries. Bud also had a passion for automobiles and adventure. As an active member of the Nebraska Corvette Club for more than 30 years, he participated in numerous cross-country trips and spearheaded the first "Geezer Trip," establishing a tradition that fellow club members would enjoy for years to come. His enthusiasm for travel and fellowship created many lasting friendships. Bud had a lifelong love of golf and spent many enjoyable hours on the course with family and friends. His passion for the game was passed down to his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories and a family tradition that continues today. Approximately eight years ago, Bud and Luana moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, to be closer to their daughters, grandchildren, and growing family. While Aurora would always hold a special place in his heart, he treasured the opportunity to spend more time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren during his later years. More than any title or accomplishment, Bud cherished his family. Whether on the golf course, traveling with fellow Corvette enthusiasts, serving his church and community, or simply spending time together, Bud found his greatest joy in sharing experiences with those he loved. He took immense pride in the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to be part of their lives. Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Luana Wall; sisters Pat Wall and Judy Filter and her husband, Bill; daughter Kathy Naber of Lincoln, Nebraska; granddaughter Corinne McClure and husband Matt, and their children, Brylee and Kyder; daughter Monika Hubby; granddaughter Ashley Stovall and husband Matt, and their children, Treyton and Emery; granddaughter Chastity Wall and her son, Zade; grandson Jaden Johnson and his girlfriend Miranda and their son, Jett; and grandson Kielion Hubby.
