Elizabeth “Joyce” Klamm, 88, of Lincoln, born March 26, 1931 and died May 10, 2019 due to surgical complications. She was born and raised in Bellwood, NE, the daughter of Frank and Mabel Stemper. Joyce married William “Bill” Klamm on October 21, 1950 and celebrated 62 years of marriage before his death.
Joyce was a retired data entry operator, working for Professional Business Services for many years. She enjoyed life, playing cards, working puzzles, and was an avid Husker fan, especially for volleyball. Joyce was active in several organizations throughout her lifetime, but was most devoted to Beta Sigma Phi. She was also a former member of the Lincoln Community Playhouse Guild, Post Office Auxiliary, St. Mary’s Altar Society and TOPS.
Joyce is survived by her children, Jennifer (Tim) Howell of Lincoln, and Janice (Richard) Kronen of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Travis (Cynthia) Howell of Mesa, AZ, Lindsay Howell (fiancé Dave Leach) of Scottsdale, AZ, Benjamin Kinnas of Phoenix, AZ, Andrew Kinnas (fiancé Haley Brooks) of Austin, TX, and SGT. William Kinnas of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren, Mila and Gemma Howell of Mesa, AZ, her sister, Anita Severe, niece Becky Stewart of Lincoln, and nephews Jim of Lincoln and Steve, Kent, Jeff, and Jon Stemper of Denver, CO; and former son in law, Demetrios Kinnas of Boise, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mabel Stemper, her husband William Klamm, brother Bob Stemper and nephew Mike Stewart.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1420 K Street in Lincoln with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park, please gather at Gate 2. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 beginning at 5:30 PM and a Rosary to follow at 6:30 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to the Lincoln Community Playhouse.
