Ella M. Carson

Ella Marie Carson, lifelong resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday July 14, 2026 in her home at the age of 73. Ella was born to Harold and Mary Carson on February 1, 1953, and was raised in Lincoln alongside her sister Etta. Ella worked as an administrative assistant at various Lincoln businesses throughout her life.

On March 4th, 1973 gave birth to her only child, Dean, raising him with love and attention that could not be broken. Best known for her sense of humor, Ella never met a pun she didn't like.

Ella's memory will live on through her family: Son, Dean Carson (Rene' Tomjack-Danley) and nieces, Mary Forkner (Jeremy Hilderbrand) ; Jackie Forkner (Ron Payne), and Jean Forkner (Alicia Kinney). Extended family include great nephews Nathaniel Forkner and Lathan Wounded-Arrows, Step-grandchildren, Stephanie Danley and Jason Danley, and 9 great grandchildren.

Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary, her sister and brother-in-law, Etta and Jack Forkner, great nephew Donovan Hennings. and lifelong best friend Paula Schufeldt.

A celebration of life to honor Ella will take place at a later date, following cremation.
