Eunice E. Zimmerman

Eunice Ellen (Vavra) Zimmerman passed away October 1st, 2017 at The Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born on November 5th 1927 near Crete, Nebraska to Emil & Rose (Belohlavy) Vavra. She was interested and engaged in current events and loved watching Anderson Cooper and Morning Joe. A student of foreign languages especially Czech, which she studied at UNL. She was a member of the Lincoln Czech Club. She took 3 trips to visit Czechoslovakia. First time in the early 70’s, again in 1981, and the last time in 2000. Activities she enjoyed included tap dancing, clogging with The Capital City Cloggers, gardening and walking. She will be remembered as an intelligent and thoughtful woman who taught those around here to be aware of what is going on in the world, and to always think about and care about other people. Survived by daughters and son-in laws: Jean Zimmerman, LuAnn and Mike Bohmont, Mary Jo and John Virts. Grandchildren: Scott and Melissa Zimmerman, Sondra Bohmont, Shawn and Raegan Bohmont, Dustin Virts, Danielle and Rick Wasielewski. Great Grandchildren: Brianna, Trequin, Kiana, Evelyn, Elaric, Avery and Ryker. She also had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Spouse Ell (E.C.) Zimmerman. Son Steve Zimmerman. Sister Barbara Henning. Parents Emil and Rose (Belohlavy) Vavra.
