Eva was a proud alumna of Whittier Junior High School and Lincoln High School and remained close to several of her childhood friends. She loved attending reunions and reconnecting with old classmates. Eva retired from Lester Electrical in 2011 after 27 years. For over 10 years, she owned and operated Clocktower Community Floral.
Eva loved music and enjoyed showing off her jitterbug moves on the dance floor. Eva was a talented artist sharing her paintings and pencil drawings with family and friends. One of her hand-painted Easter eggs was even selected to represent the state of Nebraska at the White House. An avid Husker fan, it was best not to disturb Eva during Nebraska football, basketball, and volleyball games. She loved to cheer her beloved Huskers on! An athlete herself, Eva had great times with her softball and bowling league friends. Eva loved Broadway musicals and frequently attended shows at the Lied Center. On a trip to New York to visit her daughter, Eva was able to go backstage and meet the cast of the Broadway production of Aladdin.
Eva’s family was the center of her universe. Every week, she looked forward to meeting her brothers and sisters for coffee and lots of laughs. Eva was especially proud of her daughter, Stefanie, and granddaughter, Maddie. She loved to show off pictures of blonde-haired, blue-eyed Maddie, with a "she looks just like me." Eva will be lovingly remembered for her smile, generosity, and sense of humor. Her friends and family could always count on her to be there for them.
