

Evette Sharon (Meyer) Juengel, 73, left this life to be with her Savior on March 2, 2015. She was born on March 22, 1941 in Seward Nebraska to Martin C. and Ruth A. (Wood) Meyer. After a short time, her family moved to Lincoln where she attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Elementary and Jr. High School. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959 where she especially enjoyed participating in the Octette and Peppers. Evette was a loyal and dedicated employee of The Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Co. and its successors for 40 years. She was also active outside the home and office, serving on various committees and boards for her church, Professional Secretary’s International, Lincoln Women’s Chamber of Commerce and the United Way. Evette leaves behind her husband of 53 years Raymond Juengel, her son Scott and wife Beth, grandchildren Sara and Andrew, brother Martin M. Meyer and wife, Betty, all of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Martin and Ruth Meyer, father and mother-in-law Paul and Esther Juengel. Evette’s family recognizes with appreciation the care and professionalism of the wonderful staff at Independence House – Mandarin Circle during the last two years of her life. Memorial Service: Trinity Lutheran Church, 12th and H streets 11:00AM Friday March 6, with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park at 2:30PM.
