Fern A. Adams, age 95, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2024. Fern was born on September 2, 1929 on the family farm outside of Coleridge, Nebraska to Einar and Marvel Jensen.
Fern graduated as valedictorian from Randolph High School in 1946. She met the love of her life, Dale A. Adams, in high school and they were married on July 16, 1948. For the majority of her life, she worked for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service as a lab technician. Fern was an avid card player and sports enthusiast - attending countless games of her children and grandchildren. She was a die-hard Husker fan. She found her faith home at First Plymouth Church. Above everything else, Fern's priorities in life were faith, family, and her friends.
She is survived by her children, Kay M. Adams (Molly Johnson, former spouse), Kirk "Joe" (Jeanette) Adams; grandchildren, Eli Johnson-Adams, Brian (Lindsey) Adams, Sarah Bainbridge; great-grandchildren, Cameron Adams, Caleb Adams, and Catherine Bainbridge; many cherished nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jeannie Weis. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dale A. Adams; her parents; and sister, Viola Virginia Price.
A celebration of life for Fern will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. The family is requesting attendees to wear an article of clothing that is lavender or purple to the service in honor of Fern. www.lincolnfh.com
