Florence Berneice Wells

Florence B. Wells age 94 of Lincoln passed away on January 23, 2017 in Lincoln. She was born on April 6, 1922 in Martell, Nebraska to Elmer Floyd and Sophia Louella (Kurtzer) Bohmont. She grew up on the family farm near Martell. Florence married Harold Wells in December of 1941, with this union two daughters were born, Sharon Kay and Bonita Louise. They raised their family in Lincoln. Florence worked at Russell Stover’s Candy for many years and also the Lincoln Public Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her loving dog, Chico, dancing, social events and just having a good time. She had a great sense of humor. Florence is survived by her daughter, Bonita Lodwig of Elkhorn, Nebraska; grandchildren, Tanya Memoli of Los Angeles; Derek Lodwig of Elkhorn; Tasha (Michael) Urban of Elkhorn; Shea Lodwig of San Diego; Tammy (Doug) Goering of Martell; Scott (Sherry) Hartwig of Cortland; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kylie, Terran, Jayden, Brylie, RaeAnn and Taviana; sister, Alyce DeBoer of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Calvin Hartwig; sister, Lois Ray. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Old Cheney Alliance Church, 5201 Old Cheney Road.
