Gary Marcoe passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2024 in company of his loving family. Gary was born on August 16th, 1943 to Orval and Marvel (Skinner) Marcoe. He was raised in Alvo, Nebraska and graduated from Alvo Consolidated School. In 1962, he was married to Rosalee Ostrander, and while they later separated, they shared three children; Victoria Marcoe-Thomson, Scott (Nicole) Marcoe, and Corey (Deanna) Marcoe. Gary was a loving grandpa to twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with the tenth arriving in August.
Over the years, Gary worked for Trinity Industries, Nebraska Boiler, and Lincoln Manufacturing. In 2006, he poured his years of experience, knowledge, and talent into founding Quality Fabrication in Elmwood, Nebraska. There, he worked with a great team of employees up until his final days.
Gary was always up for an adventure and quick to lend a helping hand to friends or family in need. He was notorious for his generosity, both with his time and resources. Gary started horseback riding later in life and had great love for his three horses. Whenever possible, he enjoyed trail riding and going to rodeos with his dear friend Roger McKay. Over the past year, Gary enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and spending quality time with his children and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
