Gayle Ann (Johnson) Beach, 75, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on August 24, 2026. Born in Tecumseh, Nebraska, on July 28, 1951, Gayle was the daughter of Ronald and Norma Jean (Brott) Johnson. While Gayle was a young girl, the Johnson family relocated to Lincoln. She called Lincoln her home from then on. Gayle graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School, where she brought energy and spirit to her school community as a cheerleader and as a pitcher on the softball team. Gayle met her husband, Mark Beach, at a Circuit assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses in York, Nebraska. They were married on February 14, 1976, in Lincoln, and made their home there, raising their two children in the city they loved. Together, they built a family life marked by love and care. They created lasting memories through many trips to destinations across the United States, including countless family vacations at Nebraska State Parks. Gayle’s faith was central to her life, marking this importance by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 7, 1973. She was very active in her congregation, and the priorities she held closest—faith, her husband, and her family—shaped the way she lived each day. Gayle enjoyed playing the piano and took delight in the time spent with her grandchildren. Her home reflected her warmth and personality, decorated with many beach motifs that made it welcoming and familiar. Over the years, she sent many cards and letters in celebration, sympathy, or thanks—and she made a point to recognize anyone who did something for her, always offering appreciation. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Norma Jean (Brott) Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mark Beach; her son, Jerod (Jasmine) Beach; and her daughter, Jaimee (Jeremiah) Lehr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kaeden, Bianca, Scarlett, and Amelia. Gayle is further survived by her siblings, Cheryl (Paul) Mindling, Beverly (Paul) Hayes, Steve (Kathy) Johnson, and Gina Florentine, her father- and mother-in-law Darrell and Mary Jane Beach, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
Gayle will be remembered for the gentle ways she cared, the thoughtful ways she kept others close, and the steady presence she offered to those fortunate enough to share in her life. The memorial service will be held on September 5th, 2:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 6800 Pine Lake Road.
