

George C. Weber of Lincoln passed away on April 4, 2015, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. He was 71. He was born in Pine Bluffs Wyoming to Carl and Julia (Forest) Weber. He graduated from Burns High School in Burns, Wyoming and then moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska, where he became a certified public accountant. He married the late Carol Weber and they had one son, Jason. He was involved in the Elks club and 23 Club baseball. Later in life, he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he continued his own accounting business, which he maintained for over 40 years, and drove school bus for the Lincoln Public Schools System. He was a quiet, simple man with few wants and needs. He was also incredibly kind, intelligent, and generous. He enjoyed time spent on the golf course, crossword puzzles, and reading about history and astronomy. Above all else, he loved his family and friends. He is survived by his son Jason (Lana Gillming) Weber; his sisters Louis White (Charles) and Carol Humphrey (bill); grandson, Brendan Gillming; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Julia; sister's Virginia Dodge and Irene Humphrey; and brother Elmer Cremation has taken place. In keeping with George's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
