Gerald Paul Splichal

Gerald Paul Splichal, a beloved resident of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the age of 69. Born on July 7, 1957, as a twin to Joseph Paul Splichal and Corrinne May Splichal (Wolfe) in Lincoln, Nebraska. Gerald’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith, kindness, and devotion to his faith.

Throughout his life, Gerald dedicated many years to the retail and restaurant industries, where he found immense joy in working and engaging with others. His passion for sports was evident in his unwavering support for his beloved Huskers, as well as enthusiasm for the Boston Red Sox and the Green Bay Packers.

Family gatherings, friendships, and his love for bingo at the Willard Senior Center and the Denton Legion were cherished aspects of Gerald’s life. His sense of humor brought immense joy and laughter to those around him.

Gerald is survived by his brothers, Don Splichal of Auburn, Nebraska; Phillip (Leah) Splichal of North Platte, Nebraska; and Jim (Nancy) Splichal of North Platte, Nebraska. He is also survived by his sisters Joanne Bostwick of Auburn, Nebraska and Mary (Dan) Petry of Wildwood, Missouri.

Gerald’s life was filled with the love and support of many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Corrinne; his twin sister Geraldine; and his brother Joseph W. Splichal.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 10:00 am at the same location, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
