Geraldine “Geri” Louise Debus, 87 of Lincoln, Nebraska, went to be with the Lord peacefully with family at her side Sunday, January 22, 2023. Born March 19, 1935, to Ervin & Lena Hanneman. Married Bill Debus July 2, 1955. She was an active member of Ebenezer Congregational church where she attended and helped start a women’s bible study. She was also president of the Dorcas Society. Geri loved her church family. Geri was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Geri is survived by her daughters, Connie (Joe) Hall of Lincoln, NE, Cathy (Steve) King of Cotopaxi, CO. sister, Carolyn Rogers of Parker, CO. granddaughters, Jennifer (Chad) Beattie, Billi (Joe) Sullivan. grandson Bryan King. great grandchildren, Kahli, Peyton, Lilly, Ben, Jack and Isabella. great-great grandson, Cooper. Special friend, Don Weber, Many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Geri was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Ervin Hanneman, sister Alberta Wolfe, Grandson Travis Hall.
Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 4-7pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. A celebration of Geri’s life will be Tuesday, January 31, at Ebenezer Congregational Church, 801 B St., Lincoln, NE.
