Iola L Leibfried

Iola L. Leibfried died peacefully on January 26, 2014 at her home, The Bickford Cottage in Lincoln, Nebraska. Iola was born April 27, 1924 in Platteville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Deborah and George Johns. She was the youngest of nine children. Iola married her husband, Henry Leibfried, in 1947. Iola was known by her friends and family as Grandma Olie. Everyone cherished her wonderful sense of humor and charming smile. Iola is survived by her daughter, Myrna (William) Kubly of Lincoln, Nebraska; son Ronald (Barbara) Leibfried of Madison, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Paige (James) Flynn, Lauren (James) Pugliese, Jason Leibfried, as well as great grandchildren Ava, Sophie and Jack Flynn. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 29th at The Cathedral of the Risen Christ at 3500 Sheridan Boulevard in Lincoln. The mass will be held at 10:30 am with a rosary beforehand at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Madonna Foundation at 5401 South Street Lincoln, NE 68506.
