Jacquelyn "Jackie" R Mack

Jackie attended District 44 rural school near Albion, Nebraska for several years before switching to Albion Public Schools. She was active in several activities throughout high school, most notably working on the school newspaper. After graduating from Albion High School in 1979 she attended Wayne State College, majoring in Business Administration. In addition to completing her education, Jackie formed some lifelong friendships at Wayne State. After college she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked at several jobs including Pegler-Sysco and Crete Carrier, and most recently Ameritas. Jackie loved travel and photography and her cats, Jazz and Jinx. She will be remembered as a loyal friend as well as for her strong devotion to family. Jackie passed on July 1, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her father, Phil, and mother, Doris.

She is survived by her stepmother Marilyn (Circo) Mack of Omaha, Nebraska as well as sisters Christine Mack and her husband Bud McJimsey of Lake Placid, Florida; Angela Lackney and her husband Michael Lackney of Beach Park, Illinois; Cecilia Smith and her husband Rick Smith of Lincoln, Nebraska and step-sister Chris Shepherd and partner Hope Rose of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by nephews Andrew Foss of St. Helena, Nebraska and Stephen Lackney of Fort Bragg, North Carolina and nieces Meagan Foss of Tacoma, Washington and Samantha Lackney of Alexandria, Virginia.

Memorial service will be held on July 8, 2026 at 10:00 am at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street.
