James was born Oct. 3, 1926 to Ernest and Ruth {Brown}Scharton in Beatrice, Ne. James served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. James and Enid met later in life and brought their familes together, and married April 21, 1956: with her daughter and his two children. He worked over 40 years for Flemming and Co. Jim and Enid enjoyed camping, going to Nebraska football games and spending the winters in Arizona. They enjoyed the Sesostris Shrine and took many trips taking children to the Shriners Hospitals. James is survived by daughter Linda Rogers, step-daughter Ivonne Wulff, Sister-in-laws Elda Tobler, Rose{Fred}Armbruster; Shirley O'Brien Three grandchildren; Angel and James Bradley: and step-granddaughter, Rhonda(Dave)Burch: and special friend Roger Oltman and Family, and many other relatives and friends. James is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Enid; HIs son: Michael Scharton, and James brother Robert C. Scharton. Sr. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 at Lincoln, Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. January 20th, 2022.at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 So. 14th St. Lincoln, Ne. 68512.
