Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Alberta Johnson; and wife, Phyllis Johnson.
He is survived by wife, Betty A Johnson; son, Ernie A (Jody) Johnson, of Lincoln; daughters, Susan A Johnson, of Lincoln, and Kris L. (Gary) Wimmer, of Lincoln; step-daughters, Donna R (Tim) Janssen, of Lincoln, and Brenda A Deabler (Jason Christman), of Valley Center, KS; grandchildren, Greg (Melissa) Wimmer, Ashton Johnson, Julia Johnson, Austin Janssen, Tyler Janssen, Trevor Janssen, Maddie Deabler, Sam Deabler, and Izzy Deabler; great-grandchildren, Logan Wimmer, Riley Janssen, and Regan Janssen; brothers Ed (Dianna) Johnson, of Lincoln, and Rick (Sue) Johnson, of Lincoln.
A Visitation will be held Monday, January 3, 2021, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Despite current Lancaster County Directive Health Measures, the family requests that all service attendees wear a mask when inside the funeral home.
