Swenson, Jerry L. age 77 of Lincoln, died Sunday, June 29, 2014. Born in Lincoln to Elmer and Hazel (Williams) Swenson. Retired switchman for LT&T, Member of the LT&T Pioneers. Served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict (mostly in Okinawa), member of the Denton American Legion and the VFW Post #131. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and his friends and restoring numerous classic cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Viola, Mildred, Donald and Jack. He is survived by his wife Judith; children Lynnette (Tim) Ochsner, Troy and Jeralyn (Mike) Grossman; grandchildren Brooke, Samantha, Alyssa, Thayne, Emily and Kieran; great granddaughter Zyanna; siblings Joe (Connie) Swenson, Robert Swenson, Ruby (Richard) Grasmick, Helen (Leo) Sougey, Norma Bailey, Judy (George) Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service 3pm Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE. Visitation from 4-8pm Wednesday with family receiving friends from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorials to the family for a later designation.
