Jay so very sorry for your loss, you dad was a good man and will be missed by many. I will never forget the time I showed up at his door and needed a ride home. I thought it was the end of the world. He had to take me in his pick-up on a muddy gravel road in the rain to my house. He let me know he wasn't happy about it but he did it. He was a life saver that day. Take care and cherish your memories.

My mom, Eva Mae Brotzman, lived at Village Manor on North 14th Street before it moved south and became Southlake. Mom passed away in 2010. John lived their also at the time. He was such a joy to visit with! Even though he had MS and was in a wheelchair, he had such a positive attitude and brought joy to many of the residents. He, like mom, enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeders outside their windows. I would go visit John when I visited mom and even went back to visit him after mom died. My sympathy to his family. I like to think that when I see a cardinal, my mom is checking in on me. Now when I see one, I'll think of John too. John is up in heaven now walking with his beloved wife Gayle! Smiling!

I am sadden to hear of the passing of Moose. What a personality he had. I have many memories of both he and Gayle whether it was talking the about the trash business; eating the corn on the cob or just sitting around talking about almost anything and boy he could talk. He will be missed.
