He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Emma Fink of Crete; his sister, Helen Bazant of Albany, Oregon; and his daughter, Vicki Lynn Fink of Lincoln. Jim is survived by Lee, his beloved wife of 75 years; his daughter, Christine (Tim) Counts of Lincoln; his son, Michael (Tricia) Fink of Pasadena, California; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Jim graduated from Crete High School in 1946 and went on to attend Doane College in Crete for two years.
He built a long career in retail, spending 24 years with Safeway grocery stores and 25 years with Sears Department Store. After retiring from Sears, Jim found his greatest passion in volunteering at the Strategic Air Command Museum in Ashland, Nebraska, where over more than 20 years, he devoted thousands of hours to restoring World War II and Korean War-era aircraft.
Above all, Jim treasured time spent with his children, their spouses, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
