John H. Gear, 83, of Lincoln, passed away on December 4, 2015. John was born on April 8, 1932, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to John and Ruby Gear. He retired from the BNSF railroad after 39 years. He also served in the United States Navy for four years.
John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou; children, Delores (Jay) Bassett, Annette (Steve) Grefe, Holly (Tim) Quinn; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, with a visitation one hour prior to the service, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
