John Warren Marsaglia

Our loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, John W. Marsaglia, 68, slipped away into the arms of our Savior in Lincoln, NE, on February 9, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born to John Marsaglia and Dolores (Woodruff) in Denver, Colorado. He Married Cathy Miller (Seehusen) on July 9,1983 In Pasadena, CA. They were married for 35 years. Although they were divorced in 2018, Cathy cared for John during the final months of his life, staying by his side until his final breath. During the time they were married, they lived across multiple states and raised three sons and one daughter.

John grew up in Orange County, California. Growing up he enjoyed many team sports. You could often find him catching waves at the local surf spot, swimming, or playing baseball with his friends. John was an avid bicyclist from the early age of six when he took off to a friends home in a neighboring community and bicycled 20 miles round trip unbeknownst to his mother. He continued riding until he bought his first car, and just recently purchased and rode his dream bicycle the summer before he became ill. He taught himself to play the guitar by his early teens, and spent many guitar sessions “jamming” with his late brother Brad. He loved to go fishing, especially deep sea fishing with his lifelong friend Tommy from Florida. He also took great pride in his work as a Sales Engineer for Evans, Lipka and Associates, building relationships with his clients across the nation, and making lifelong friends. Perhaps most importantly, John enjoyed spending time with all of his loved ones and grandchildren, and would often share with them his favorite activities such as fishing, playing guitar and the joy of taking them on shopping sprees for their favorite item or food. John’s last big purchase for them was a beautiful Christmas tree that his grandchildren helped him to decorate before he became ill.

He leaves behind his loved ones, sons JD Miller (Amber Figart) of Jenks, OK, Brad Miller of Jenks, OK, Nick Marsaglia of Cedar City, UT, and daughter Angelica Marsaglia, Lincoln, NE. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Treyvon Miller, Jada Miller, Jamison Miller, Jacelyn Miller, Damien Miller, Ciara Miller, Kayden Miller, Jami Parrish, Ryan Parrish, Max Parrish, and Emmett Nguyen, brother Hugh Houston, and sister Jade Houston both of Sunland, CA. John was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, son Max Marsaglia, and brother Brad Houston. Memorials maybe directed to the family for future designation.
