

Joseph E. Mach, 88 of Lincoln passed away January 23, 2015. Joseph Emil Mach was born December 8, 1926 to Frank and Lucy Mach at DuBois, NE. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army. He was a dedicated employee of the Nebraska Department of Roads for 42 years and 8 months. He was a member of VFW Post 131 of Lincoln. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and time spent outdoors with family and friends. Survivors include his children, Doug (Betty) Mach of Cathlamet, WA; JoNella (Sten) Eisentrager of Lincoln; Steve (Laura) Mach of Roca, NE; and JoAnn Mach of Lincoln; granddaughter, Sara Mach-Crisp; as well as 11 additional grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Nadine Kern. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley and Arthur Mach; and sons, John Mach; William Mach and Joseph Mach Jr. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Eastmont Towers for the exceptional care given to him through the years. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday January 28, 2015 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
