Kathy J. Fiedler was born to Marion and Minnie McCracken on January 26, 1947 and died October 4, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Kathy was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1965. After high school she worked at Goodyear for 5 years.
She met Wayne Fiedler in December 1969 and was married at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward, Nebraska September 5, 1970. They moved to Garland, Nebraska where they farmed for 8 years Over those years they welcomed 3 daughters. The family moved to rural Denton, Nebraska where she and Wayne lived until her death.
Kathy worked for the State of Nebraska as a computer operator and a supervisor. She worked for the State of Nebraska for 30years and retired in 2009.
Kathy enjoyed fishing, Bingo, going to Las Vegas, and playing cards and games with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling when she was able. And, of course, she loved everything Elvis! She was a lover of all animals. She dearly loved her “Boys”, Elvis and Patches. She enjoyed watching nature and wild animals outside her windows.
She was preceded in death by her parents Minnie and Marion McCracken, sister Hattie McMahan, nieces Becky Hastings and Cindy Zimmer, and nephew Brad Kovar.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wayne; daughters Dawn Fiedler, Renea Fiedler, and Heather Fiedler; sister Ann Hoffman; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
