

Kathy Louise Kuehn passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Kathy was born in St. Louis, MO December 8, 1946. She attended public schools there. Upon graduating, she attended Monmouth College in IL earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree. She then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha graduating with a Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Kathy was employed at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital for over 30 years. Helping people through difficult situations, reassuring them and making a change in their lives was her great gift of caring.
Music was an integral part of her life. Kathy was the banjo player in the Plain Label String Band for 40 years. The band played throughout the Midwest. Kathy played and sang. If there was a silly song, Kathy was the one to sing it.
She was a devoted member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church. Kathy was the Clerk of the Session for many years and also was active in Eastridge Presbyterian Women and many other committees. If there was a job to be done, Kathy volunteered to do it.
Kathy was outgoing, loved to laugh and she also threw the best parties. She was a musician, a friend, she loved her work and her church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Louise Kuehn and her longtime friend, Stephen Hull. She leaves many friends and cousins to miss her.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Eastridge Presbyterian Church. She will be interred at Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens in St. Louis, MO. Memorials can be sent to the Eastridge Church. Condolences to www.lincolnfh.com.
