During Krista’s high school years, she worked in the kitchen at the Hebron Blue Valley Nursing Home until her accident in 2005. She then graduated from Thayer Central High School in Hebron, Nebraska, in 2005.
Krista enjoyed working with others and the elderly residents. She planned for a career in nursing, but put that aside after the accident.
Krista enjoyed art, drawing, painting, and spending time with her family. She met her boyfriend, Shawn Folsom, in 2015. He brought a dachshund named Buddy into her life who quickly became her world. He was always by her side and was her great protector.
Krista was an amazing daughter, sister, girlfriend, and best friend. Toward the end of her life, she had the beautiful experience of becoming a mother to a little boy: Everette Neal. Although Everette lived a short 24 hours, he made an incredible impact on the family’s life.
Krista was taken from this world way too soon but is now at peace from all that she endured over the years following her accident. She was preceded in death by her father Neal, her son Everette, and her paternal grandparents, George and Beatrice Rosencrans. She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Dresser of Beatrice, sister Nicole Virus and significant other Isaac French of Lincoln, sister Tammy Haskins of Grand Junction, CO, brother Clinton Rosencrans and significant other Kristen Schubert of Lincoln, brother Joshua Lownds and significant other Brandi Rivolta of Grand Junction, brother Jerry Rosencrans and wife Sarah of Grand Junction, brother David Rosencrans of Grand Junction, and significant other Shawn Folsom of Lincoln, NE. She also leaves behind many nieces, and many great-nieces and nephews.
