Larry J Bucknell

Larry J Bucknell, age 74, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born to Cloyd and Phyllis Bucknell. He graduated from Lincoln High School and then attended the University of Nebraska from 1966 to 1971. Larry received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Then he went on to get his MBA in 1976. Larry served his country by being in the Navy from 1971 to 1973. Larry was the president of the Lincoln Jaycees from 1974 to 1976. He also was Toastmaster Vice President from 1974 to 1975 then became President in 1975 to 1976.
Larry loved travel, reading, Marilyn Monroe, Huskers, Hallmark Channel, The Yankees, and playing cards.
Larry enjoyed living life to the fullest. He had a zest for life that was unique.
Survived by his children: Kyle (Jenn) and Barry (Cheyanna); Nathan (Nicole), Aaron, Katie; grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. sister Sherry (Wally), sister Debra (Robert) Graham, brother Mark (Ginger).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for future designation.
A visitation for Larry will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. Celebration of Life will occur Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
