Larry Gene Emmons, of Lincoln, NE, 88, passed away August 10, 2023, at Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lincoln, NE. He was born in Nebraska City, NE, on September 23, 1934, to Cecil and Iva (Mitzner) Emmons.
Larry graduated from Nebraska City Senior High School in Nebraska City, NE, on May 23, 1952. He graduated from the University of Nebraska, College of Business Administration, on June 10, 1957. Larry was the Finance Director for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Student Union and retired on February 29, 1996.
Larry is survived by his son Mitchell (Deb) Emmons, son-in-law Russell Hand, grandchild Jason (Michaela) Emmons, and great-grandchildren Henry and Theodore Emmons. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Janene Hand, and wife Janet.
The family would like to thank Tabitha and the outstanding and compassionate staff on 2-North for the excellent care provided to Larry.
