Funeral services for Leigh Ann Zurcher Ernst will be conducted on March 28, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Lincoln Memorial Mausoleum, Lincoln Nebraska. Mrs. Ernst died March 11, 2022 at Heritage at Fountain Point, Norfolk NE. She was born February 8, 1934 to O.E and Leah Raney Zurcher at Crofton Nebraska.

She graduated from Ainsworth, NE High School, Clarkson College of Nursing, Omaha, NE, Stephens College, Columbia Missouri and had a Masters and Doctor of Philosophy Degree from California State and Columbia Universities. Certification was in Kinlein Philosophy and Rational Behavior Therapy from the U of Kentucky College of Medicine. She was member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Nile, Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Ida Nichola Book Club, Klofron, and a Cub Scout Leader. She was listed in Who’s Who of American Nurses. Dr Ernst was president of LRZurcher Inc, a Health and stress management company in Norfolk which she headed for several years.

Music was an important part of her Life and she played the piano, organ trumpet and clarinet. Dancing was her favorite pastime and was fortunate to live close to Long Pine, NE. With Hidden Paradise down in the beautiful canyon. Seven Springs fed the Pine Creek running through.

She married Robert J. Ernst in 1956 at the Hastings College Chapel. Together their hobby of Doll house construction and furnishing brought many hours of pleasure to a great number of people. Upon Retirement. They spent their winters in California San Diego County, Austin Dallas Tex. The Remainder of the year was in Norfolk, NE.

Surviving are, Husband, one son Robert J Ernst II, with his wife Elaine & beloved granddaughter Lauren Leigh. Brother William B Zurcher. She was proceeded in death by her parents.
