He enlisted in USAF and retired after 20 years. He worked for the USPS for 15 years.
He is survived by 4 children, William and wife Robbin; Debbie and partner Ron Miller; Gerald and partner Nina Halama and Frank and partner Tracy Griffin. He has 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Martha Jean Ross Swenson; son Bobby Joe Swenson; his parents and 9 siblings, granddaughter and great grandson.
Visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512, on October 15, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
