Leston Gradon Sorrell

Leston Gradon Sorrell, 95, Lincoln, formerly of Sedona, AZ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Les was born on November 24, 1920 in Otoe, Nebraska to James Franklin "Frank" and Oma Estella Sorrell. After graduating from the University of Nebraska, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity he served as a pilot in the United States Air Force during WWII. He later worked with his father Frank Sorrell in the family Insurance, Real Estate and Auctioneer business in Syracuse, Nebraska. Eventually he went to work for Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nebraska where he had a 35 year career and served as Vice President of Sales until his retirement in 1985. Les was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dottie Jean" and son, John Leston Sorrell, brother LaRue Sorrell, sister Etolia Rodgers Survivors, brothers, Dr. Michael F (Shirley) Sorrell, Omaha, James F (Pam) Sorrell, Omaha, Dennis (Vanessa) Sorrell, Plattsmouth, Children, Dr. William (Cindy) Sorrell, Des Moines, IA, Pamela Sorrell, Denver, CO, Vickie (RT) Swindall, Jacksonville, FL, Tim Sorrell, Lincoln, Lesley (Bill) Kick, Ft Worth, TX, grandsons, Bradley (Yeny) Jennings, Troy (Amy) Jennings, Ryan (Heather) Holt, Brent (Amy) Holt, Shane (Marcy) Sorrell, Nick (Renee) Sorrell, Jay (Sanela) Sorrell, Tyler (Caitlin) Kick, Casey McGovern, Kyle (Krysta) Kick and 18 great grandchildren.
