Linda Gail Carlson, age 77, of Plano, TX (formerly of Lincoln, NE), passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Mrs. Carlson is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Keith W. Carlson; her father, Gale L. Galloway and her mother, Edna M. Galloway. She is survived by her children; Jeff Carlson of Plano, TX and Lisa Carlson of Plano, TX; as well as her three grandchildren Gabriela Calce, Gianna Calce and Jack Calce, all of Plano, TX.
Linda was born on July 22, 1947, in North Platte, NE to Gaylord and Edna (Tobaisson) Galloway. She lived with her parents in various locations including Cheyenne, WY and Denver, CO. Linda attended Denver East High School and graduated from North Platte High School. She then pursued a post-graduate degree in nursing and enjoyed a career in Optometry and Obstetrics when she met her future husband, Keith. They were married on May 8, 1971.
She was a devoted wife and mother, staying home to raise her two children, until she went back to school and earned multiple degrees in real estate. She worked for Home Real Estate in Lincoln, NE representing buyers and sellers for 30 years. Linda enjoyed helping families find homes, as well as establishing close, life-long friendships with her clients and co-workers. She was a long-time member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, NE and enjoyed serving in the church and helping others. Linda loved to crochet and knit, especially baby booties and blankets. She was always quick to strike up conversations with anyone nearby and lived to be surrounded by those she loved. Her smile and energy were contagious. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Eastridge Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Dr, Lincoln, NE 68510 with a reception to follow. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Axtell, NE on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3:30 PM. A reception to follow the interment at First Presbyterian Church at 406 A Avenue, Axtell, NE 68924.
