Linda Roemmich, 86, died August 30, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born in Saint Edward, Nebraska, to Albert and Helga Peterson. She graduated from Saint Edward High School in 1957 and moved to Lincoln where she worked for State Farm Insurance Company for 7 years.
She married Wilbert (Willy) M. Roemmich on June 25, 1961. To this union were born daughter Kim and son Doug. She was a devoted wife and mother and lived her life for her family and The Lord.
In 1973, after the children were grown, Linda started to work at the University of Nebraska Agronomy Department and worked there until her retirement in 2005.
Linda enjoyed traveling with family and friends and volunteering at Capitol City Christian Church and the Norward Park Grade School backpack program.
She is survived by her husband Willy, daughter Kim of Lincoln, son Doug and daughter-in-law Kerry of Omaha, and two grandchildren, Tristan and Taylor of Bozeman, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Berdell.
Visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Capitol City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege, Lincoln, Nebraska 68505, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
