

Lois Jean (Murphy) Morgan, 90 of Lincoln went to her heavenly home on November 19, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the second child of six, born to Charles and Leota (Allen) Murphy on November 9, 1926 in Lincoln, Ne. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 and then took a job as a bookkeeper at Miller and Paine Department store. Lois met Philip J Morgan and they were married at St Mary’s Cathedral on June 12, 1947. Phil and Lois were blessed with 4 children in their 68 year union. Although Lois’s main focus was her children and family she did work a variety of part-time jobs over the years and managed a Hinky Dinky Delicatessen for 14 years prior to retiring. She has been a member of Cathedral of the Risen Christ parish for most of her adult life and shared an hour of adoration with her husband for over 42 years. She is a member of the Ladies of the Eucharist. Lois is survived by her daughters, Phillis (Bob) Bryant, Diane Mattison, and sons, Bob Morgan and Bruce (Janette) Morgan all of Lincoln. She loved and was so proud of her 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and her surviving siblings Bill, Mary Ann and Charlene, In-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip, parents and sisters, Betty and Rose Marie. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Cathedral of the Risen Christ Catholic Church. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery. Masses or memorials to the Cathedral, in lieu of flowers. Our heartfelt appreciation to all the staff and friends at Southlake Village and Horisun Hospice.
