Lola L Hruby

Lola Louise Hruby, 84, Lincoln, died Wednesday 12/10/14 in Lincoln. Born June 22, 1930 in Ft. Robinson, NE to Charles and Myrtle (Glossbrenner) Quay. Lola was a Production Supervisor at Gooch Foods where she met her future husband Matthew Hruby, united in marriage in 1955, married 44 years until Matthew's death in 1999. Lola served as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader, an avid bowler, enjoyed playing cards, gardening, puzzles, Husker Volleyball and collecting Santas. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. One of Lola's greatest joys was spending time with her family. Lola is survived by sons Paul (Judy) Hruby, Charles (Pat) Hruby and daughter Roberta (Gregg) Dolen, all of Lincoln. Grandchildren Jamie Hruby-Granquist, Angela Franssen, Matthew Hruby, Valerie Franssen and Mark Hruby. Great-Grandchildren Jonah Granquist, Curtis Weldon, Jason Granquist, Jocelyn Hruby-Dodd and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Winnie Schmidt, Betty Jeanne Snow, Bertha Kerst, Peggy Emerson and brothers Harley Hungerford and Charles Quay. Services will be 10 am Monday 12/15/14, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 S. 14th St. Visitation on Sunday 12/14/14 from 2-6 pm. Memorials may be given to the family for a charitable donation to be made in Lola's memory at a later date.
