Lonny was born in Nebraska City on October 1, 1946, to Ralph and Adel (Meyer) Ganzel.
After graduating from Nebraska City High School, he embarked on a dedicated career with LT&T, where he spent 34 years before retiring. Retirement, however, didn’t slow him down. He quickly found a new role as a delivery person for Small Engine Specialist, a job he enjoyed for 11 more years.
In his younger day, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. These activities eventually faded as he could no longer tolerate the heat or cold. He found purpose and joy in his hands-on projects. DIY endeavors, (some of them quite substantial) filled much of his free time.
It’s often said that “Time in Heaven is compared to the blink of an eye." We have to realize that our lives can be gone in a moment. There are no guarantees that we will be here at this time next year." by Joel Osteen For some grief never ends. It's the price we pay for love. Monday July 7th Lonny completed his mission on earth and was called home.
Preceded in death his son Bryan Ganzel, father Ralph A Ganzel, mother Adel (Ganzel-Griepenstroh) and brother Ralph (Bud) Ganzel.
Survived by his wife Lorna of Lincoln; daughter Shelly (Lee) Rezac of Waverly, Nebraska; grandsons: Peyton (Megan) Schneider of Omaha, Nebraska, Landen Rezac of Waverly, Nebraska; Parker Rezac of Waverly, Nebraska, Talen Rezac of Waverly, Nebraska and sister Kay Doehling of Lincoln, Nebraska.
