Lorene Elizabeth Wahlstrom, 77, born to Lawrence William and Elsa May Schmitz on April 17, 1937 in a farmhouse outside of Maywood, NE. Lorene, youngest sibling of Cloid Schmitz (Eva Mae), and was preceded in death by sibling Lois.
In her early 20’s Lorene moved to San Francisco, CA where she met and married Rudolph E. Wahlstrom. During their 22 years or marriage they had 4 children. Susan Martinez (Ray Martinez), Douglas Wahlstrom (Gay Wahlstrom), Gary Wahlstrom (Alane WaWstrom), Traci Wood (John Wood).
Lorene attended SCC where she earned her certificate and became an LPN. Lorene found her passion in working with the elderly. Lorene is survived by her children as well as her 6 beautiful
grandchildren Michael Svoboda (Pearl), Jamie Svoboda, Jessica Reiner (Steve), Jake, Sailor, and Avery Wood. Lorene has one great granddaughter, and learned that she would have been expecting another in November 2015.
