Lucille H Melichar

Lucille graduated from Seward High School. After High School, she worked at the Elgin Watch Factory in Lincoln, NE. She married Joseph Richard Melichar on October 26, 1947 in Goehner, NE, and they moved to Wichita, KS. They returned to a farm southwest of Denton, NE where Lucille worked for the Russell Stover’s Candy Company. When Joseph retired, they moved to the town of Denton.

Lucille was a member of the Lutheran Church in Crete, NE. She loves dancing, traveling, bingo, and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph R; brother, Leo Martens; and sister, Irene Darnell.

She is survived by children, Kenneth (Lynn) Melichar, and Dennis (Cheryl) Melichar; grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Melichar, Jessica Melichar, and Jeremey (Lesley) Melichar; great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Melichar, Joseph Melichar, and Bryce Melichar.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans Association at www.dav.org.
