Lucy will be remembered for her faith, taking care of her family, enjoying card games, puzzles, sewing, crafts and gardening. She enjoyed singing and was very dedicated to the Malcolm St. Paul’s Lutheran church singing in the choir, leading VBS and Sunday School throughout the years. She served as her daughters’ various club sponsors and activities including Malcolm Music Boosters, Girl Scouts and 4-H. She showed care to others often by reaching out and sending cards.
Throughout her years she worked as a beautician in Burwell and Sargent, switchboard operator at Metromail, farm wife, homemaker, milked cows at Schildt’s and Perry’s farms; cashier at Super Saver, kitchen staff at Malcolm Public Schools, and a surveyor for USDA.
In her final years, many wonderful caregivers, led by Britney, Kodi, and Courtney, allowed for her to be cared for at home. Her family is thankful for these special relationships and the way they served Lucy and her family.
Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation. Condolences may be left at www.lincolnfh.com
