Lynn A Nunnenkamp

Lynn A Nunnenkamp, of Douglasville, GA formerly of Grand Island, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was born December 28, 1946. Lynn enjoyed working on cars and hanging out with his 2 grandchildren when they were younger, he was an engineer who lived in Nebraska, Illinois and California throughout his career.

Lynn is survived by his loving son, Chris (Joanna) Nunnenkamp of Atlanta, GA; two grandsons Nicolis (Nicole) Nunnenkamp of Newport News, VA, Jacob Nunnenkamp; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Ellie; sister, Kathy (David) Pieper of Grand Island and their sons Robbie Pieper of Grand Island and Rick Pieper of Crete; brother, Lonnie (Carla) Nunnenkamp of Grand Island their daughters Lisa (Steve) Rowe of Wood River and Rachel (Jason) Vedder San Diego, CA; brother-in-law Brian (Pam) Bencken of Lincoln and their daughters Jacque Korell of Pueblo, New Mexico and Katie Bencken of Charlotte, NC; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Susan Nunnenkamp who passed in 2018; He remarried in 2019 to Gayle Pieper Nunnenkamp who passed away in November of 2022. Lynn served in the Navy as a Seabee during the Vietnam War. He was extremely proud of his two grandsons in which Jacob serves in the Army and Nicolis and his wife Nicole serve in the Navy.

A visitation for Lynn will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512.
