Marianne Mack of Lincoln passed away peacefully on May 21, 2016. Marianne was born in Ansbach, Germany on November 1, 1920, to Michael and Viktoria Woelzlein, and is survived by one son, Michael (Mary Jo) Mack of West Point, Ne, two daughters, Heidi Schlarp of Ansbach, and Linda (Bob Williams) Kahler of Lincoln, six grandsons and four great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Stefan Woelzlein and Johann Knaeulein, sister, Marie Knaeulein, husbands Franz Kast and Delbert Mack, son, Raymond Mack, and grandson, Florian Schlarp. Marianne came to the United States in 1948 and became a citizen in October of 1952. She was the long time knitting instructor and needle art buyer at Miller & Paine and co owner of Marianne's Handarbeiten, a Lincoln knitting shop. She was named 1983 Woman of Achievement by Axis of Lincoln Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a member of the Lincoln Women's Chamber of Commerce, Gold Star Wives of America and the World Organization of China Painters. Private family graveside services will be held at Lincoln Memorial on May 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made in her name to The League of Human Dignity, 1701 P St., Lincoln.
