Marilyn L. Thomas

Marilyn L. Thomas, 94, of Lincoln passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2024. She was born in Atkinson, NE to Eli and Wilma (West) McConnell. Marilyn liked to spend her time bowling and was an avid sewer. She loved to play cards, particularly bridge, with the ladies from the fishery. She also was a dedicated volunteer at St. Elizabeth and at the Election Commission receiving an award for her 35 years of service as an election board worker. She was preceded in death by husband Robert E. Thomas; parents Eli and Wilma McConnell; brothers Bud and Dean McConnell. Survived by Brother Dick (Karen) McConnell; sons Scott (Jean), Jeff (Debbie), Bill (Cathy) Thomas. Grandchildren Charis, Jordon (Hannah), Ellie and Kate. Great grandchildren Nova, Jace and Ivey. A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 at 2 PM with a visitation one hour prior at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. Memorials to the UNL Robert E. Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund and St. Elizabeth Foundation volunteer services fund, 555 S. 70th St., Lincoln, NE 68510. Arrangements are entrusted to Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska.
