Marjorie Delp

Marge was born August 21, 1931 in Liberty, Nebraska, the daughter of Rollin and Emma (Schultz) Stover. She grew up in the Virginia and Lewiston, Nebraska area. She graduated from Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Nebraska in 1949.

Marge was married to Jimmie Delp on September 24, 1954 and to this union was born three sons; Douglas, Mark, and John. During her career, she worked at different businesses, most prominently as a bookkeeper for the family business, Delp Auto Sales.

Marge’s greatest accomplishment was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Marge was dedicated to her family and always put them first. This was her living legacy and the thing for which she will be forever remembered.

She enjoyed a variety of hobbies including sewing, crocheting, knitting, and cross-stitching. Jimmie and Marge enjoyed traveling to all of the states, parts of Canada, and Alaska in their motor home. Marge was a lifelong member of St. James United Methodist Church. Marge was preceded in death by husband, Jimmie Delp; her parents, Rollind and Emma; sister, Marion Alfrey; brothers, Charles Stover, Robert Stover, and Gerald Stover.

Marge is survived by her sons Douglas and wife Cindy Delp of Loveland, Colorado; Mark and wife Julie Delp of Lincoln, Nebraska; and John and wife Sandy Delp of Lincoln, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
