Marjorie Ann Christner Ficke of Lincoln and Pleasant Dale, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born in Steam Boat Springs, Colorado on October 25, 1934. The Daughter of Rev Dr. Ben H. Christner and Hazel White Christner. Resided in Denver, Longmont, Greeley and graduated from Pueblo, Colorado High School.
Graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a degree in the humanities. Member of Willard Sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, Laurate Alpha Chapter and a member of Saint Paul Methodist Church 60 years.
Married Don C. Ficke June 7, 1958 in Denver, wonderful mother of 2 children, accomplished and excellent china painter, a master quilter.
Survived by husband Don, daughter, Christine K. Ficke, and husband, Michael Anderson, their 3 children Olivia Cleone Ficke-Anderson, Edgar William Ficke-Anderson and Evan Anderson all from Walker, Minnesota; son, Andrew Jon Ficke of Littleton, Colorado; nieces and nephews; Blossum of Malta, leaving behind a life of beautiful memories, and several accepting and gracious extended German Families.
Preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Virginia Urano of Greeley, Colorado and Dorothy Kohler of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Services Monday, February 28th, 2022 at 2 P.M. Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street. Interned at Lincoln Memorial Park. Friends and family invited for visitation Monday, February 28th 12-2 P.M. Following services, there will be a casual gathering at 7300 South 13th Street from 4:00-6:00pm.
Memorials to the Nebraska Children's Home Society, 3549 Fontenelle Blvd., Omaha, Nebraska 68104. Rev. Eduardo Bousson from Nebraska Wesleyan University will be officiating services.
