Marjorie spent the majority of her career at Russell Stove Chocolates. She managed the Gateway Mall candy store from the day it opened to the day it closed.
As a strong supporter of the arts, she served as President for the Lincoln Community Playhouse, the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and the Lux Center for the Arts Guilds. She was also a life member of BPO Does Drove #4, serving in many offices at both the local and district levels. Over the years, she belonged to numerous other groups, including Naphis Temple No. 66 and Chapter BR-GV- P.E.O.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Wyant, her son, Donald Stanley of Thurmont, MD, and her daughter, Kelli Stanley Smith, and husband, Dennis Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Terri Stanley.
A public visitation with the family will be held from 5-8 PM on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Park and Cemetery, 6700 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at Gate 2 of the Cemetery shortly before 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 16.
Family requests that memorials be given to Does Scholarship Fund or Capital Humane Society.
