My sympathy and prayers to family and friends for strength and healing now and in days ahead. I was fortunate enough to have Mark be a part of my life as a friend and coworker and he touched my life with his passion for his commitments and his dedication and devotion to all who were lucky enough to have the privilege to know him. I say goodbye now with sadness knowing you're gone, but also happiness through tears knowing that you have taken your place as a guardian angel in heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend.

My Sympathy to Markus's family. I met Markus while working at the Regional Center. He was the parole officer for one of the patient's on my caseload. I enjoyed my visits with him, and was surprised to learn that I'd attended Kearney State with his brother Gary, and met his father while interning with the Sheriff's Office in Geneva back in the early 80's. He was a good parole officer, and I enjoyed sharing stories with him about Corrections, where I'd worked previously. May he rest in peace.

My prayers and thought are with you. I worked with Markus at the Dept of Corrections over about a ten year period. I remember his passion for people to be treated right, inside or outside the prisons. Indeed, RIP.

My dear sweet friend. It is with a heavy heart that I have to say goodbye to you. I consider myself so very lucky to have been your friend. I'll never forget the times laughing with you at work or later when our paths had taken different directions. You were always a tried and true friend. I will miss you and all of the grief you used to give me. Thank you for being a confidant and for always giving great advice. I love you and I know I'll see you again.
